Seven Decades of Photography is Wolf’s newest collection of his masterful black and white prints and presents a selection of photographs spanning more than seven decades, selected by Wolf himself. Some of them are iconographic, others have never been published before, but each and every one of them conveys key elements of his attitude as a photographer: curiosity, fascination, and spontaneity, as well as genuine concern and respect for those he portrayed. His subjects range from street scenes and political rallies in the London of the 1930s and beyond, to portraits of such well-known figures as the writers H.G. Wells, Sean O’Casey and Aldous Huxley, and the actors Vincent Price, Michael Caine and Deborah Kerr.
