The Corner Houses were pleasant places to eat in, or simply to have afternoon tea. A quartet played music in the afternoons.The waitresses wore white headbands and were called Nippies, because they nipped around very quickly.There was a rumour that the design of this particular Corner House was done by Paul Rotha. I had tea there and noticed these neighbours. It looked to me as if she was giving him a bad time.
